Boy 21 is a very interesting book! Its a type of book that will make you think; is this really happening! This book is about a boy named Finley; also nicknamed "white rabbit", who plays on an all black team, who is very dedicated to the sport basketball. His coach has a lot of respect for him as his player and also because he is a leader and does what he is told, with no questions asked. Finley takes on a task that involves a great basketball player named Russ who has recently moved to his school after a family tragedy; but he will only answer to Boy 21! Finley is told to help Boy 21 adjust to his new life, even if that means giving up his starting position on the team! But Boy 21 has a crazy obsession with outer space, so that makes it so much harder for Finley to connect with him. But, at the end of the day it may turn out that Boy 21 is more help than people expected!

I like this book because I can connect with it! Its about basketball the sport I've played since I was in third grade I know how it feels to think your spot may be taken; but that's just a sign that you need to push yourself to the next level! And that goes for any sport, you never should be satisfied with were you stand at one point you should always try and one up yourself so you can improve; and that's exactly what Finley does. Also, I know how it feels to not  be able to connect with someone right off the back, but when you start to get to know them more you find that you both have similar traits! As the story continues, some parts of this book may have you guessing, like this doesn't make sense or this isn't realistic but at the end it all ties together! At the same time though there are some very realistic parts such as the family problems and even the team behavior! This book has many different aspects that will have you asking for more!

"Sometimes a player's greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team"! This quote stood out to me a lot because when your on a team sometimes its difficult to figure out what your role is as a team player or even how could you contribute too your teams success! But, as long as you work hard and try your best to get better, I feel like the expectance comes along with it. The harder you work the better the outcome will be; I've noticed this through Finley and also through personal experience! So yes I recommend this book to anyone who likes sports or even to people who like a little bit of weirdness! Its very interesting that's for sure!
